She is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister of the sun-god Helios, and Eos, goddess of the dawn.); RESOUNDING EARTH scored for approximately 300 pieces of metal, featuring 120 bells from a wide variety of cultures and historical periods; SUN THREADS for string quartet; and WORLD PREMEIRE of CAPRICCI for violin and viola, performed by violinist Ari Streisfeld and violist John Pickford Richards. SELENE was co-commissioned by the Tanglewood Music Center in honor of its 75th Anniversary Season, with generous support from Deborah and Philip Edmundson; and by Miller Theatre at Columbia University with the generous support of Sidney K.
